Let's Play "Final Fantasy VII" ECHO-S Mod: (Part 9) Nibelheim, Sephiroth Goes Insane

FFVII ECHO-S is a fan-made Mod that adds Full Voice Acting to Final Fantasy VII. It's part of 7th Heaven's Mod Pack which completely ovehauls the Final Fantasy VII experience. I wanted to play Modded FFVII for a while now, and I'm excited to play it with voice acting.

Cloud's Backstory

The party move out of Midgar into the next town, Kalm. There, Cloud tells the others about his past with Sephiroth. A Shinra mission saw him return to his hometown. There, Sephiroth learned about his mother, his past, and goes totally insane!

Sephiroth destorys the whole town, kills Cloud's mother, and Tifa's father. Cloud follows him for a final confortation!

Cloud's backstory is one of the most brilliant parts of Final Fantasy VII. It's a great example of the unreliable narrator trope. I chuckled whenever, Barret and Tifa interrupt the story to comment on it.

I appreciate how dramatic some parts of the story are, like when Sephiroth attacked Tifa, and the final scene in which Cloud and Sephiroth fought. ECHO-S Mod does a fantastic job voicing this section in an extra dramatic way reminiscent of a Cartoon.

Now that the party knows the story, and knows the threat Sephiroth serves to the planet. They will move to the next town to follow and defeat him!
