Para concluir la Caracas Blockchain Week... ¡Hasta 2023! [ESP-ENG] #CBW

Muchos aprendizajes dejó esta Caracas Blockchain Week, y experiencias de habernos conocido más allá de lo virtual. El mundo de la Web 3 y la blockchain se desenvuelve en un entorno muy impersonal y eventos de este tipo nos sirven para ir más allá de eso, hacia algo más orgánico. No sabía que esperar de este evento, y por el momento queda el deseo de asistir a otro evento de este estilo. Se viene uno en Lechería, Estado Anzoátegui, dedicado a Hive, al cual si tengo la oportunidad espero asistir, ya que se ve que será muy genial.

This Caracas Blockchain Week left many lessons learned, and experiences of having met beyond the virtual. The world of Web 3 and blockchain operates in a very impersonal environment and events like this help us to go beyond that, towards something more organic. I didn't know what to expect from this event, and for the moment there is still the desire to attend another event of this style. There is one coming up in Lechería, Anzoátegui State, dedicated to Hive, which if I have the opportunity I hope to attend, as it looks like it will be very cool.

Ya sabemos que Hive destacó en la Caracas Blockchain Week por su comunidad muy activa en lo que respecta al ámbito social. Somos una blockchain muy humana. Ese componente que quizás no se ve tanto en otros proyectos cripto más enfocados hacia lo tecnológico lo vimos en Hive. Quizás a estas alturas del siglo sea un poco tarde para adquirir una máquina minadora, o quizás no sea tan tarde, pero es claro que no cualquiera podría costear una. Quizás no podamos tener un aparatico de estos, pero al menos podemos y tenemos la oportunidad de ser parte de una nueva tecnología que nos permite tener propiedad digital: la Web 3.

Se que es un concepto extremadamente abstracto en este momento, pero la Web 3 está siendo el foco de atención en este momento, siendo la blockchain de Hive una de sus pioneras. En lugar de comprar una máquina de minar, podemos adquirir las herramientas para construir en Web 3. No es fácil, incluso yo mismo realmente me pregunto si lograré aprender y construir algo en Web 3 más allá de ser un simple espectador o divulgador, a lo sumo, pero sin duda fue uno de los temas centrales de la Caracas Blockchain.

That component that perhaps is not seen so much in other crypto projects more focused on technology, we saw it in Hive. We may not be able to own one, but at least we can and have the opportunity to be part of a new technology that allows us to have digital ownership: Web 3.

I know it's an extremely abstract concept at the moment, but Web 3 is being the focus of attention right now, with Hive's blockchain being one of its pioneers. Instead of buying a mining machine, we can acquire the tools to build on Web 3. It's not easy, even I myself really wonder if I will ever learn and build anything on Web 3 beyond being a mere spectator or disseminator at best, but it was certainly one of the central themes of Caracas Blockchain.

Realmente a veces me pregunto si los usuarios de Hive estamos en una especia de burbuja entre nosotros mismos, ya que por lo menos yo no conocía algunas de las figuras importantes del mundo cripto que se presentaron allí. Ya sabía de algunas como Mariangel García de BNB o Ángela Ocando de Platzi, pero no estaba tan al tanto de otras de las personalidades y proyectos presentados allí. El podcast "Viernes Criptográfico" de Aníbal Garrido y Ezio Rojas parece ser muy importante y sustancioso, me pregunto si alguna vez podríamos llevar Hive a dicho Podcast.

Otra de las figuras destacadas, de la cual no hubiera tenido consciencia si no fuera por @soyunasantacruz, es la de Maickel Melamed. Una conferencia muy inspiradora, acerca de la innovación en ambientes volátiles. Llegué cuando su exposición ya había iniciado, y minutos más tarde, para mi sorpresa, se retira del lugar con ayuda de algunas personas y con una clara condición en su cuerpo que le impide caminar o moverse de manera normal. Mientras él caminaba por un lado del escenario, pasó a menos de 3 metros de mi y alguien en un asiento de atrás gritó "¡Gracias Maickel!". Muy inspirador, la verdad.

I really sometimes wonder if we Hive users are in a kind of bubble among ourselves, since at least I didn't know some of the important figures of the crypto world that were presented there. I already knew about some of them like Mariangel Garcia from BNB or Angela Ocando from Platzi, but I was not so aware of other personalities and projects presented there. The podcast "Viernes Criptográfico" by Aníbal Garrido and Ezio Rojas seems to be very important and substantive, I wonder if we could ever bring Hive to that Podcast.

Another standout, of which I would not have been aware if it wasn't for @soyunasantacruz, is Maickel Melamed. A very inspiring conference, about innovation in volatile environments. I arrived when his presentation had already started, and minutes later, to my surprise, he leaves the place with the help of some people and with a clear condition in his body that prevents him from walking or moving in a normal way. As he was walking on one side of the stage, he passed within 10 feet of me and someone in a seat behind me shouted "Thank you Maickel!". Very inspiring indeed.

Otra de las ponencias, como se ve en la imagen de arriba, fue la de Mujeres en Web3, la cual también le dediqué un post. Sin duda que algo que al menos yo particularmente percibí en el evento es que las mujeres están bastante interesadas en este mundo de las criptomonedas. Presencia de muchas mujeres lo vimos, especialmente, en Hive.

Ya mencioné en el Megapost de Hive en la Caracas Blockchain Week que quería ser ponente en la próxima edición. Tengo algunas ideas, y espero poder materializar algo de ello. Sin duda que la próxima edición necesitará más espacio y tiempo para exponer todo lo nuevo que surja en el mundo cripto y web 3 en el próximo año.

Esto es algo demasiado innovador, al punto de que es casi un nuevo idioma para algunas personas. Es muy difícil explicar que puedes ganar recompensas por crear contenido o que Hive no tiene un CEO o dueño. Me gustaría haber asistido todos los días a este evento y a más de las ponencias, no tengo palabras para expresar toda la emoción que me generó, especialmente días después.

Undoubtedly something that at least I particularly perceived in the event is that women are quite interested in this world of cryptocurrencies. We saw the presence of many women, especially at Hive.

I already mentioned in the Hive Megapost at Caracas Blockchain Week that I wanted to be a speaker at the next edition. I have some ideas, and I hope I can materialize some of it. No doubt that the next edition will need more space and time to expose everything new that will emerge in the crypto and web 3 world in the next year.

This is something too innovative, to the point that it is almost a new language for some people. It's very hard to explain that you can earn rewards for creating content or that Hive doesn't have a CEO or owner. I wish I had attended every day of this event and more of the keynotes, I have no words to express all the excitement it generated in me, especially days after.
