Hermano Sol y Hermana Luna
Hermano Sol y Hermana Luna
Rara vez te veo, rara vez escucho tu melodía:
Preocupados por la miseria egoísta.
Hermano Viento y Hermana Aire
Abrid mis ojos a visiones puras y justas
Hermano Sol, y Hermana Luna
Ahora os veo, puedo oír vuestra melodía:
Tan enamorado de todo lo que contemplo.
Soy la criatura de Dios,
De él soy parte.
Siento su amor
Despertando mi corazón.

It was approximately the year 1983, I was 5 years old and my older sister took us to something similar to a vacation spot called "Humocaro Alto" in the state of Lara, specifically the town of Buenos Aires. It was a new experience for me and I was totally excited. I still remember arriving at those wooden cabins, the smell of pine and above all the smell of coconut oil in the hair of many people. My sister belonged to an ecological movement and on this occasion they would do activities for the children and thus inculcate that little seed of love for Mother Earth.
Since I can remember, my older sister @caballodefuego has been a great activist in defense of the ecological balance, and has tried to inculcate us above all through her example that it is possible to live trying to do the least possible damage to the planet. I honor her, her passion for nature is something that goes beyond herself, I must confess that I try but that sometimes actions escape me that I should improve.
The truth is, that being a child she also put us this movie "Hermano Sol Hermana Luna", it is difficult to listen to this song and not associate it with her, and yes, I want her to read these words to tell her how much I love her and how much I admire her for all the work she has done all her life, I am sure that this is giving and will continue to give its fruits.
This movie was very impactful for me, I think that's where that different way of feeling God started, of being able to see him in all his creatures, and the whole musical production is incredible. Although it is a movie from 1972 I think it is worth watching today.
So today I share with you this song that whenever I listen to it or sing it makes me feel connected to everything that forms this beautiful planet Earth.
I hope you enjoy it,
A huge hug

Brother Sun, and Sister Moon
Brother Sun, and Sister Moon
I seldom see you, seldom hear your tune:
Preoccupied with selfish misery.
Brother Wind, and Sister Air
Open my eyes to visions pure and fair:
That I might see the glory around me.
I am God's creature,
Of him I am part.
I feel his love
Awakening my heart.
Brother Sun, and Sister Moon
I now do see you, I can hear your tune:
So much in love with all that I survey.
I am God's creature,
Of him I am part.
I feel his love
Awakening my heart.
