On this occasion I want to show you a type of bracelet called Denary, used as the rosary to pray, however today its use has also been extended to the decorative part. Let's see the materials and the step by step.

¡Hola, queridos amigos de DIYHub! Qué alegría compartir una vez más con ustedes en esta gran comunidad dedicada a las manualidades. En esta ocasión deseo mostrarles un tipo de pulsera que lleva por nombre Denario, usado al igual que el rosario para rezar, sin embargo hoy en día su uso se ha extendido también a la parte decorativa. Vamos a ver los materiales y el paso a paso.

We will need / Vamos a necesitar:

2 m. of Terlenka thread, wood beads, straw, scissors, lighter.

2 m. de Hilo de Terlenka, cuentas de madera, pitillo, tijeras y encendedor.

First of all, we sharpen the thread ends with heat to make it easier to work with.

Ante todo afinamos las puntas del hilo con calor para que sea más fácil trabajar con él.

We begin by making a cross with a first knot of 5 turns, for this we are going to pass the thread through the chute, we make the turns to the left over the piece, we pass the end of the thread through the chute and pull from bottom to top, pressing the knot to the left until it is very firm. You can use a pencil straw to make the chute. We are going to cut about 2 cm and then we make some cuts so that it has the desired shape.

Comenzamos realizando una cruz con un primer nudo de 5 vueltas, para ello vamos a pasar el hilo por la canaleta, hacemos las vueltas hacia la izquierda por encima de la pieza, pasamos el extremo del hilo por la canaleta y halamos de abajo hacia arriba, presionando el nudo hacia la izquierda hasta que quede bien firme. Podemos hacer la canaleta con un pitillo, vamos a recortar unos 2 cm y luego le hacemos unos cortes para que quede con la forma deseada.

We are going to take a piece of about 15 cm of thread and we make a knot at one end, then we pass this piece between the fibers of the main thread to achieve one of the crossbars of the cross. We complete the other end of the crossbar and trim the excess thread, carefully burning it with a lighter.

Vamos a tomar un trozo de unos 15 cm de hilo y le hacemos un nudo en un extremo, luego pasamos esta pieza entre las fibras del hilo principal para lograr uno de los travesaños de la cruz. Completamos el otro extremo del travesaño y recortamos los excedentes de hilo, quemando con cuidado con un encendedor.

Only the lower post of the cross is missing, so we tie a knot and fix it well.

Solo falta el poste inferior de la cruz, así que hacemos un nudo y lo fijamos bien.

At about 5 cm it is time to make the central part of the denary, which will consist of 11 knots and 10 wooden beads, as its name indicates.

A unos 5 cm toca realizar a parte central del denario, que va a constar de 11 nudos y 10 cuentas de madera, como lo indica su nombre.

Here we have the central part almost ready; we just need to close it with a knot.

Acá ya tenemos casi lista la parte central, solo falta cerrar con un nudo.

We are going to finish the other end of the bracelet with a smaller wooden bead between two knots.

Vamos a finalizar el otro extremo de la pulsera con una cuenta más pequeña de madera entre dos nudos.

For the closing mechanism, we superimpose the ends on the chute and place a piece of thread to make a knot that wraps everything. We adjust making sure that the ends maintain the mobility towards all sides. Finally we burn the excess being careful not to touch the ends of the bracelet.

Para el mecanismo de cierre superponemos los extremos sobre la canaleta y colocamos un trozo de hilo para realizar un nudo que envuelva todo. Ajustamos cerciorándonos de que los extremos mantengan la movilidad hacia todos los costados. Finalmente quemamos los excedentes con cuidado de no tocar los extremos de la pulsera.
