Last Saturday we agreed to meet with our friend Daniel Supo to talk and have a coffee, I do not know if in your country there is the Colombian coffee franchise Juan Valdes, but we love it, so when it comes to drinking coffee we do not fall into the easy trap of going to a Starbucks 😅, just kidding, it is also good there, but we prefer the Colombian franchise. The agreed place was the Centro Civico Shopping Center in the city of Lima, a very busy and very central place that allows easy access from different parts of the city, so it is usually an ideal place to meet with friends.
After having our cold coffee and an interesting conversation, we set out to walk around the outskirts of the mall to get some fresh air. There is an extensive green area where we can find the Juana Alarco de Darmmet Park and the Italian Art Museum. Right next to this museum, there is a kind of round cement stage that I guess was built for community events; and well, it was precisely there where we met Rock Show Peru.
This edition was totally free and had the presence of bands such as Chango Fuera, Tribales, El Despertar, El Syd, 7 vidas, Sugar Daddy, among others. All of them performed original songs, which is rare since it is normal in this type of events to hear covers of famous bands, but this was the case and that was something that caught our attention because the presentations of each one were at least 45 minutes of original music, that speaks of the talent that exists in this country.
The genre that was heard the most was Hard Rock and Rock and Roll, all with heavy tendencies and with a lot of energy, that made the spectators stay always attentive and pleased with what they were listening to. The bands that we could hear were at a very high level in terms of execution and attitude, it is noticeable that they have been prepared for a long time and it was noticeable that they have been on stage for a long time.
One of the things that pleased us a lot is that the musicians were always very humble and gentle with the public, it is true that they are not famous bands and therefore did not require a security system to keep them apart, but the humility of local rockers in general is usually outstanding, so we took the opportunity to take some pictures with them.
We recorded some sections of the presentations so you can observe in more detail the atmosphere and vibes of this warm concert of local bands that made us spend 3 hours of fun and that made us remember times when we used to attend events like this in our country. A big hug to everyone!
