Hive Creators Day Barquisimeto | Video and Post Event Report

The event was a success; we reached the goal of having more than 30 attendees in the activity, and during the development of the event, everyone was very excited to learn more about the Hive blockchain; there were many people interested in learning more about Hive, so the same community of Barquisimeto will soon do more activities further to expand the message of Hive as a Web3 blockchain.

🚀 Highlights

Payments in HBD and Hive: This event was held in a local destined for cryptocurrency education in the @anticafepastisse, and we paid our consumption locally using HBD. Boosting in this way uses native Hive coins as a payment method.

Experienced speakers: We managed to unite in this event with @enrique89, @soy-laloreto, @samgiset, and @arlettemsalase, who, from their experience, covered topics to highlight the potential of the Hive blockchain beyond the blog, even doing practices with transfers in Lightning Network through Hive.

Community momentum: The Barquisimeto community showed a lot of enthusiasm to learn more about the Hive blockchain and to continue carrying out educational activities to project Hive as a Web3 blockchain in Venezuela.

We achieved our initial goal, but our greatest satisfaction was connecting with the community, learning about their values and strengths, and adding value from our experience.

💡Identified challenges

Every event leaves lessons learned; in our case, we have many to share for the next events we organize. Some points to work on are:

• The number of people interested was unexpected
• We had extra logistic expenses to mobilize the speakers to Barquisimeto.

For future events, we will take more care of the calls to action in time to reach as many people as possible; We have already corrected the inclusion of the necessary logistics for the attending team.

💸Current financial position

For this event, we planned to save as much as possible; @zullyscott did an excellent job as host; we also reused branding material because we are devising a prototype event as self-sustainable as possible, and within our expenses, we included logistical costs of the Speakers who traveled from other cities. The venue rental was free; we only paid for our consumption.

The initial budget was USD 346; we had a small event scheme; due to our need to increase the potential of the Hivers in different locations, we decided to make an effort and move some Hosts from other cities to be speakers at Hive Creators Day Barquisimeto, thus achieving a greater impact event. This decision generated extra expenses in terms of logistics, and we assumed them with great responsibility.

Thanks to the support of our Event Host, who hosted the whole team at her house, and there were no lodging expenses; we also received sponsorship from @theycallmedan. Below are our actual expenses.

_{These expenses include all the economic variables that must be considered in a country like Venezuela, such as losses in commissions when exchanging for Fiat money. We are open to partial audits upon request.}

Hacer el Hive Creators Day en Barquisimeto fue muy positivo para la comunidad de creativos de Hive en esta localidad. Estamos cumpliendo un mes de la realización de este evento, que se ejecutó el día 18 de Junio del 2022, con una duración de 3 horas, fue realizado en el Anticafe Pastisserie, en la ciudad de Barquisimeto, Venezuela.

El propósito del Hive Creators Day Barquisimeto fue mostrar el ecosistema de Hive y sus oportunidades más allá del blog, así como impulsar a la comunidad existente de Hive de esta ciudad.
