African food stands out anywhere, with its high nutrient content and mouth-watering taste, the aroma heavenly. Even though I still try continental dishes from time to time especially when I have less time to prepare my meals due to work, I still find time to prepare our local African delicacies since they are the more healthy option, especially as a mother with children, I want the best for them, to grow healthy with stronger bones, and bright mind, African dishes gives me all of this. If am asked to choose my most preferred, it will be the African dishes, trust me, If you haven't tried our dishes you are missing out on a lot.

Yes, our food takes time to prepare, but this is because it follows a thorough healthy process from washing, filtering, grilling, and boiling, etc rather than the much frying process we do when making some western dishes, and most of our food if not all is richly packed with high nutrients, as they are mostly plant-based and rich in fibers, protein, from green leafy vegetables, tubers, plantain, etc.
In the world today, there are so many types of diseases flying around from cancer, to diabetes and the like, it has been attributed to the food we diverted from our African meals, it wasn't common those days when our ancestors focused mainly on our organic meals instead of the chemically processed meals we have transitioned to in the name If globalization and wanting a fast meal, and they lived a healthier life with long life span.
In my part of the world, African dishes are also affordable compared to getting the ingredients for intercontinental dishes, some of us even grow them in our little garden as we are also blessed with rich soils.
Furthermore, African dishes are more filling, who else doesn't feel very satisfied if you've not taken swallow and any delicious soup in a week, I know many of us Africans are in this table, ever wonder why our brothers in diaspora before anything else always asked for our African dishes to be brought to them when someone is visiting, because of how much they miss our meal, go check some travelers bag flying abroad and you won't be surprised to see grinded ogbono, egusi, dry fish, stock fish, etc fully packed at one corner of the bag.😁
When I visit events that serve both intercontinental and African dishes, though I will have a taste of the intercontinental dish as I said earlier, they aren't always filling and a real African eats to his fill, my day at any event cannot be completed without having a filling experience, don't look me like that, I'm a real African woman, no forming here hehe.
To understand me better, I uploaded a detailed video of how one of our local soup is made from palm fruit, palm fruits are known to be rich in vitamin A, improves eyesight, gives glowing skin, even prevents cancer, etc all of this and more, you can search it up, and we are blessed to have it and even make a delicious soup known as Banga with it, in the video, I included the recipe , you can give it a try and feel the taste, I'm sure you will testify as well why African dishes is my most preferred.
